In this, Part Two of the series, we will build on Part One where we stated that leadership has recognized roles in society but also questioned if we as individuals claim our own personal leadership enough. It offered the assertion that we can see our self as the CEO of our own life. Belief was identified as a primary area that can be examined and evolved as an expression of personal leadership. Beliefs were compared to a computer program in that they produce predictable output depending on what that program is. Any program can be updated freely by choice. Changing a belief or the programming will result in a different life experience from words and actions to feelings. A key point made was that beliefs can evolve or be expanded upon, yet it was also acknowledged that not all people are aware of this or indeed, believe it. Part Two explores perspectives of seeing yourself as a creator, inviting mastery in through various aspects, the ability we have to receive, and the power of personal alignment and presence.

Research: Equipping Conservation Managers For An Industry In Crisis: Evidence From South Africa

The escalation of illegal poaching and wildlife trafficking over the last decade has placed the conservation industry in crises. Conservation managers find themselves with a new professional landscape to navigate where daily challenges lie far outside their existing skill set. As a result, there is a need to understand the disparity between what conservation managers have been prepared for and what they now face in order to inform training and capacity building interventions. Using the South African conservation industry as a case study, the research will address this Praxis Gap by gaining a deeper understanding of the nexus within the academic literature; investigating the key performance outputs and competence shortfalls experienced by protected area managers and developing a new framework or model that may identify the most important competencies required by contemporary protected area managers in the South African conservation industry.

Assessing Measurement Quality: Reliability & Validity

In this article, assessing measurement quality is closely reviewed. Aiming addressing the goals of the present work, quantitative method has been used. More specifically, the Likert scale questionnaire based on the existing scales was developed and the online survey has been conducted in order to collect the required data. As a part of the nomonological network validity check, three types of validity were tested. Namely, those were content, construct and criterion validity. Apart from that, internal consistency reliability method has been used for the present research. The SPSS software has been used for the analysis. And, the following reliability coefficients were tested: Confidence Interval, Cronbach?s Alpha and Guttman?s Lambdas.

Dr. Katenove holds a Doctor of Business Administration from KIMEP University in Kazakstan where she also earned a Master in Public Administration and a Bachelor in Social Science. At present, she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Bang College of Business at KIMEP. Previously, she held positions as Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at KIMEP. She also holds the title of Professional Financial Manager from the ICFM in the UK.
