It is with great pleasure that Monarch Business School Switzerland announces that Dr. Morgan Clevenger, a Post-Doctoral Candidate at Monarch, has been named a finalist for Best Book Award in the Social Issues in Management Division at the Academy of Management. The book stems from his dissertation work as a PhD Candidate at the University of Missouri. The book is entitled: “Corporate Citizenship and Higher Education: Behavior, Engagement and Ethics” published by Palgrave MacMillan, 2019.

Corporate Social Responsibility For Tea Plantations In India: A Gandhian Perspective

The purpose of the contemplated research is to examine how Gandhian principles can shape the business practices of tea corporations for greater impact on the lives and working conditions of tea plantation workers in India. Gandhian principles allow organizations to develop business processes that are based on mindful consumption, sustainable utilization of natural resources, sustainable livelihoods, and equitable distribution of wealth; thereby, directing business leaders to pursue a corporate social responsibility strategy of not only doing good, but also of being good (Diwan, 1982). Gandhian values have the potential to influence businesses to achieve profitability, sustainability, and inclusivity by considering the interactions between individuals, organizations, and the community.

Dr. Panchali Das Post-Doctoral Candidate Joins Monarch

Dr. Panchali Das is a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Doctor of Literature Candidate. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce, Gauhati University, India. She also holds an MBA from School of Management Sciences, Central University, Tezpur, Assam, India and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, New Delhi, India. She has completed the faculty development program at the Indian Institute of Management (IIMA) in Ahmedabad, India. She has been an Assistant Professor & Coordinator for the BBA Program in Marketing at the Emirates College for Management & Information Technology in Dubai, UAE. She has been a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in the past at: Rai Business School; the Institute of Information Technology and Management; and the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi. As an active researcher she has many published papers in academic journals as well as papers accepted and published at various academic conferences.

Monarch Business School Switzerland is happy to welcome Dr.Maya Katenova as Post-Doctoral Fellow in Coporate Social Responsibility & Global Business Ethics. Dr. Katenove holds a Doctor of Business Administration from KIMEP University in Kazakstan where she also earned a Master in Public Administration and a Bachelor in Social Science. At present, she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Bang College of Business at KIMEP. Previously, she held positions as Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at KIMEP. She also holds the title of Professional Financial Manager from the ICFM in the UK.

Monarch Business School Switzerland is happy to welcome Dr. Morgan Clevenger to the faculty as Professor of Management and Post-Doctoral Fellow in Corporate Social Responsibility & Global Business Ethics. He holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Missouri. He also holds an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the John Chambers College of Business & Economics from West Virginia University, Morgantown where he also completed a Bachelor of Science in Journalism at the Reed College of Media.

Dr. Maity Joins The Faculty As A Post-Doctoral Fellow

It is a pleasure for Monarch to welcome Dr. Arijit Maity as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Associate Professor of Management at Monarch Business School Switzerland. Dr. Maity holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Calcutta, India along with an MBA from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. He also holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Visveswariah Technological University. Dr. Maity is also an Associate Professor at the Globsyn Business School in Calcutta, India. His research specialty focus around the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility, Service Management and Entrepreneurship development. He has over a decade of experience within the construction industry at Ramco Cement Ltd., Lafarge India Ltd, Aditya Birla Group and S.S.P. Construction. Dr. Maity is a well published academic with both national and international journal articles. Dr. Maity is also a professional member of the Institute of Engineers, India.
