Dr. Barsoum Inspires Inclusive Impact At The Synergy In Action In Egypt

Dr. Miray Barsoum, an alumna and professor at Monarch Business School and Dean of Academic Development, played a pivotal role in Synergy in Action, Egypt’s first forum designed to enable the creators of the entrepreneurial ecosystem to better foster women in entrepreneurship. As a co-founder of the Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN), Dr. Barsoum contributed her expertise to this transformative event, which focused on inspiring inclusive impact through collaboration and actionable solutions.

At the forum, which featured 13 panels6 workshops3 activities, and a podcast with over 65 speakers, Dr. Barsoum moderated a panel discussion on fostering women’s entrepreneurship in Egypt. Drawing from her doctoral research at Monarch, she highlighted how targeted support, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives are essential to creating a more inclusive entrepreneurial landscape.

Dr. Barsoum also led a workshop introducing the “WEMPOWERMENT” framework, a model developed through her PhD research at Monarch. This framework offers a practical guide for designing programs that empower women effectively, bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world application. Her contributions exemplify how research can drive actionable strategies and inspire meaningful change in the ecosystem.
