Gertrude Kazarwa

Ms. Gertrude Kazarwa is a Doctor of Business Administration Candidate. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maastrict School of Management in The Netherlands. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Management from the Universite Libre de Kigali in Rwanda as well as a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali. Ms. Kazarwa has many years of experience in government, NGOs and education. She is the founder and Managing Director of BSFA-Bright Stars Foundation Academy a private primary and nursery school. She has also been a lecturer for Economics at the Kigali Independent University. She has also held the position of Zonal Accountant at World Vision International in Rwanda where she also held the position of Finance Manager for the Development Assistance Program. She also has experience with Moucecore (“Mouvement Chretien pour le Counselling et la Reconciliation”) a local NGO as well with a Community Development Fund financed by USAID based in the Ministry of Local Governance. From August 2024, Ms. Kazarwa sits as the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of Rwanda. Previous to this, she held the responsibility of Senator and Vice Chairperson of Political Affairs and Governance Committee in the Senate of Rwanda.
