Mr. Cyril Okoye is a Professional PhD Candidate in Developmental Economics. He has two decades of experience serving the development finance sector in policy management, advocacy and capacity building. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos in Nigeria and a Master in Legal Studies / Industrial Relations from Lagos State University. He also holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt. He also attended Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development (NISPED) in Israel, as a MASHAV scholar, and was trained on building Support System for Enhanced Performance of African SMEs. Professionally, he holds the position of Secretary General of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI). Previous to that, he held the position of CEO/Executive Secretary at the Association of Nigerian Development Finance institutions (ANDFI). He is a member of the Nigerian Economic Society as well as the Turnaround Management Association of Nigeria. In the past, he also was Editor of the journal, “Development Finance Platform”.
