The Doctor of Management (D.M.) program at Monarch is a prestigious higher doctorate designed for senior management professionals. It focuses on documenting career experiences and lessons learned, culminating in a 150-250 page manuscript. This retrospective work integrates practical insights with academic theory, offering valuable guidance for future management professionals. The program enhances candidates’ prestige and reputation, recognizing their significant contributions to the field of management.
As a Doctoral Research Institution Monarch Business School Switzerland offers distance post-doctoral programs and faculty training opportunities to existing Doctoral degree holders. The Post-Doctoral Fellowships are combined with the completion of the Doctor of Literature award. Candidates of the Post-Doctoral program are expected to produce new knowledge within the identified field both through internal and external publications as well as through the completion of the Doctor of Literature manuscript.
PhD, DBA and DOL applicants may selected the option to combine their programs for increased integration. Candidates completing the Dual PhD-DBA or PhD-DOL Combined program will be awarded both the PhD and DBA or DOL as separate degrees. They will also receive the M.Phil. in Business Research (Master-in-Passing) degree at the time of successful completion of the program. The combined program requires that the Candidate address both theory development within the requirements of the PhD as well as Praxis application within the requirements of the DBA or DOL. Successful completion is considered when theory and praxis are integrated into a coherent whole and provide a deep and developed understanding of the research.
Monarch offers doctoral degrees focusing on the theoretical to the applied. Active professionals can choose the most appropriate program for their specific orientation. Programs are designed specifically for working professionals with busy schedules. All Doctoral graduates are also awarded the related Master-in-Passing award.
All Doctoral degrees at Monarch also are awarded a Master-in-Passing degree upon successful completion. The degree is automatically awarded upon successful completion of the Doctoral program and no additional work is required. A Master-in-Passing degree is also known as a Master degree earned en route and is considered equal to a terminal Master degree. The associated Master award for each Doctoral degree is as follows:
The Executive MBA programs may be extended to include an additional 6 months thesis period for the supplementary award of Master of Science (MSc) in Administration. The thesis represents an academic examination of a business problem from a theoretical perspective. It seeks to review existing theories and models to determine the best fit solution of a management problem facing contemporary business.

Social justice refers to concepts of equity and fairness. Central to an understanding of social justice from a business perspective are the important roles of Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics and Sustainability. The historical perspective of business existing to produce greater shareholder wealth comes under increasing scrutiny in today’s integrated world. Candidates interested in this study domain critically examine the role of business in society. The idea that business can be a driver of greater social justice is central to this study domain.
Sustainable global business practises take into consideration all costs borne by society along with a re-evaluation of the concepts of economic profit and growth.
