Mr. Roy Bhikharie is a graduate of the Doctor of Philosophy program. He is a doctoral transfer student from Erasmus University in The Netherlands. He also holds a MA in Cousiling Psychology from the University of East Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from North Eastern Illinois. At present, he is an external thesis supervisor for the Anton De Kom University of Suriname and IBW University of Applied Sciences (Humanities and Social Sciences). He is also the Deputy President of the United Nations Association Suriname. As an independent researcher, his interests include leadership, good governance, political and economic development, interactions between paradigms and psychological health, quantum physics, and mysticism.
Professionally, Mr. Bhikharie has held the position of CEO of NV Meelmaatschappij Molen Inc. He has also been a consultant for Deloitte & Touche Suriname. He has held the position of Chairman of the Suriname Manufacturers Associations (ASFA), has been the founder of the Associaiton for Good Governance and Liberalization (ABBL) as well as Deputy President of the United Nations Associaiton of Suriname.
