Research: Workforce Engagement of Generation Z

Managers have to ensure the engagement of four different generational groups as part of the workforce. The conflict between generations and its negative impact on workforce productivity, company progress and overall advancement has long been acknowledged. The millennial problem, which refers to the set of ideas that the individuals born between 1975 and 2000 are ill-fit for the work environment, is correlated with an ambiguity surrounding Generation Z; There is a lack of information about the generational groups born after Millienials, from 1995 to 2009. Therefore, ensuring an operationally functional work environment is believed to be problematic and difficult. The contemplated research intends to examine the values, work condition inclinations and preferred managerial style of Generation Z employees.

Dr. Panchali Das Post-Doctoral Candidate Joins Monarch

Dr. Panchali Das is a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Doctor of Literature Candidate. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce, Gauhati University, India. She also holds an MBA from School of Management Sciences, Central University, Tezpur, Assam, India and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, New Delhi, India. She has completed the faculty development program at the Indian Institute of Management (IIMA) in Ahmedabad, India. She has been an Assistant Professor & Coordinator for the BBA Program in Marketing at the Emirates College for Management & Information Technology in Dubai, UAE. She has been a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in the past at: Rai Business School; the Institute of Information Technology and Management; and the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi. As an active researcher she has many published papers in academic journals as well as papers accepted and published at various academic conferences.

The announcement was made public on the 15th of July, 2019. Markets have reacted positively to his appointment as reported by Bloomberg.

Student Focus: Ayotunji Ajanaku – Dual PHD/DBA Candidate in Industrial Engineering

Mr. Ayotunji Ajanaku is a Combined Dual PhD/DBA Candidate in Industrial Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) & Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with Distinction from the University of Herfordshire, UK. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in System Safety Engineering, an Advanced Diploma in Risk Management and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quality Control Engineering from the Defense Academy of the United Kingdom at Cranfield University. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Management Institute of the UK and a Certified Lecturer of the International Education Society in London, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Professional Engineers, UK. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the JPTS/South America University for distance learning in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics/Physics and Management Strategy.

Student Focus: Meshack Zwelibanzi Dlamini – PhD/DBA Dual Degree In Business Strategy

Mr. Meshack Zwelibanzi Dlamini is a Combined PhD/DBA Business Strategy Dual Degree Program Candidate. He holds a Master in Business Leadership and an Honours Bachelor of Administration in Industrial Psychology from the University of South Africa as well as a Bachelor of Administration from the University of the North. He has also completed the Executive Human Resource Programme at the University of Stellenbosch and the Advanced Labour Law programme at UNISA. At present, he holds the position of Executive Director for Human Resources at the University of South Africa. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources and Development at Mangosuthu University of Technology.
