Mr. Jonathan McAlvany is a Dual PHD / DBA Combined program candidate. He holds an MBA from the University of the People in California, USA as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Vanguard University, California. At present, he is the Owner and Managing Director of PT. Titi Jaya Indonesia in Bali, Indonesia. Previous to that, he was Vice-President at the Asia Pacific Children?s Fund. He has been a guest speaker at Vanguard University for business students as well as at the University of the Nations in Perth, Australia. He is also a Certified TESOL English Instructor, Certified U.S. Army Core-man Field Medicine Graduate and an Emergency Medical Technician.
Dr. Josephine Liew Mie Ching is a Doctor of Business Administration Candidate. She holds a PhD in Management, a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from the University Malaysia, Sabah. At present, she holds the position of Head of the Public Affairs & Administration Department at Petronas Floating LNG Ltd. Previous to that, she was Account Manager at Petronas Dagangan Berhad. She has also held the position of Corporate Social Investment Officer and Stakeholder Relations Executive at Petronas. She is also a Master Practitioner, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Senior Member of the Royal Institute of Business Administration in Singapore and a Member of the Royal Institute of Volunteers in Singapore.
Mr. Magnus Lincoln Quarshie is a Professional PhD Candidate in Leadership. He holds an MBA in Leadership & Sustainability from the Robert Kennedy College in Cumbria, UK. He also holds a MSc. in Transport and Road Engineering from the Technical University of Delft-International Institute for Infrastructure, The Netherlands as well as a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from KNUST-Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Ghana. At present, he holds the position of CEO of Delin Consult Ltd. Previous to that, he was Country Director at the Institute For Transportation and Development Policy. He is a Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineering, a member of the Ghana Consulting Engineers Association. He held the position of President at the Ghana Institution of Engineers as well as at the West African Federation of Engineering Organizations.
Mr. Samuel Nwanze is a Dual PhD / DBA Dual degree Candidate. He holds a Master of Science in Finance & Management from Cranfield University, UK. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. At present he holds the position of Chief Investment Officer at Heirs Holdings in Lagos, Nigeria. Previous to that, he held the position of Group Treasurer at Bank PHB Plc in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Member of the Institute of Directors. He has been a member of the expert team on financing for SMEs in Africa with the United Nations Economic Commission For Africa.
Ms. Cynthia Pillay is a Doctor of Applied Leadership Candidate. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Durban, South Africa. At present, she is an independent consultant with Luona Consultants in South Africa. Previous to that, she held the position of Group Head of Human Resources at Real People South Africa. She is a member of the Institute on Personnel Management as well as a member of the Business and Professional Women?s Association. She is the recipient of the Kellogg’s Bursary and the University Of Durban-Westville Graduate Scholarship as well as the NRF Scholarship.
Mr. Muttaqha Darma is returning to Monarch within the Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Management program. He holds a MBA and B.Sc. in Engineering from Bayero University, Kano in Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Engineering Production from the University of Benin. At present, Mr. Darma works as a professional consultant and tertiary education teacher. Mr. Darma has also held Chairman positions within government agencies in the Katsina Sate of Nigeria, including: Chairman/Convener, Cikin-Birni Consultative Forum, Chairman/Convener, Committee of Concerned Citizens on Education and as Chairman/Convener, Movement for the Creation of Dan-Marna Local Government. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
Mr. Akinwunmi Adeosun is returning to Monarch within the Doctor of Finance/ Ph.D. dual degree program. He holds a M.Sc. in Finance from Lagos State University and a B.Sc. in Accounting with Honors from Oxford Brookes University. He also holds the Canadian accounting designation of CGA-Certified General Accountant. At present, he holds the position of Corporate Accountant at Total E&P Nigeria Ltd. Previous to that he held the position of Accountant at Pan Ocean Oil. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) of the UK, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
