You choose the degree that best suits your needs as an aspiring teacher. The individual courses may be combined into a Diploma that may later be followed by a Master or Doctoral Degree in Education.

The Education programs at Monarch offer a comprehensive and integrated pathway for educators seeking to advance their expertise and impact in the field of teaching. Starting with individual courses that provide focused insights into specific educational theories and practices, candidates can seamlessly progress to the Diploma of Education, where foundational knowledge is deepened and expanded. From there, students may pursue the Master of Education, which introduces advanced concepts and practical applications, culminating in a critical 12-month teaching practicum within Monarch’s Bachelor program. This practicum provides invaluable real-world experience, allowing candidates to apply their learning in a live online teaching environment. Finally, the Doctor of Education program offers the pinnacle of academic and practical mastery, equipping educators with the highest level of expertise to lead and innovate in educational settings. Each stage of this educational journey is designed to build upon the previous one, ensuring a cohesive and applied learning experience that prepares graduates to excel as both educators and leaders in their field.

The Doctor of Education (D.Ed.) professional program at Monarch is designed for aspiring educators that wish to develop their career to a highest level. The program focuses on both the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and applied teaching skills. The program culminates in a 150-250 page doctoral manuscript. The goal of the program is to develop the candidate both on the theoretical and practical level. Candidates will acquire relevant theoretical knowledge on course development, education philosophy and career development along with practical teaching skills that may be brought into a teaching environment or serve as a foundation for a career in Education Administration. The minimum 12 month practicum module enables the candidate to experience the demands of online teaching and further refine their skills while teaching on the Bachelor program at Monarch.

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program at Monarch is a prestigious higher professional  doctorate designed for aspiring educators. The program focuses on both the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and applied teaching skills. The program culminates in a 80-150 page manuscript. The goal of the program is to develop the candidate both on the theoretical and practical levels. Candidates will acquire relevant theoretical knowledge on course development, education philosophy and career development along with practical teaching skills that may be brought into a teaching environment. The 12-month practicum module enables the candidate to experience the demands of online teaching and further refine their skills while teaching on the Bachelor program at Monarch.

The Diploma of Education is offered to aspiring educators who wish to focus on the acquisition of practical teaching skills based on a strong theoretical foundation. The 6 month teaching practicum enables the candidate to obtain critical exposure to students within a live environment while teaching on the bachelor program at Monarch. The combination of the core-course curriculum and short term practicum provides the ideal footing for new or experienced teachers to perfect their teaching skills and showcase their acquired knowledge to new employers or institutions. Credits completed under the Diploma may be used as exemptions  within the Master program if the candidate continues onward within a 36 month period.

Aspiring teachers may take any of the individual courses offered within the Educaiton program. The courses result in a certificate of completion that may be used as credit towards further advancement within the Diploma, Master or Doctoral levels. The completion of the core-courses on an individual basis provides the maximum amount of flexibility while gaining needed skills and knowledge.
