Dr. Miray Barsoum Recognized for Excellence at the American University in Cairo’s Research and Creativity Convention (RCC) 2025

Monarch is proud to announce that Dr. Miray Barsoum, a graduate and faculty member at Monarch  Business School and Research Fellow at the Monarch Research Institute, participated in the Research and Creativity Convention (RCC) 2025 at the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt, where she presented her PhD research on women entrepreneurs’ empowerment and the “Wempowerment” model.  The WEMPOWERMENT model was an outgrowth of her PhD research here at Monarch.

Dr. Barsoum highlighted the impact and practical applications of the model and underlying research to an audience of scholars, experts, and judges. Her work, which provides a transformative framework for assessing and advancing women’s empowerment in entrepreneurship, was recognized for excellence, reinforcing its significance in shaping policies and support systems for women entrepreneurs.
