Dr. Rafiq Bhuyan holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance. Concurrently, he is an Associate Professor at A&M University Alabama, USA. Dr. Bhuyan holds a PhD in Economics from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He also holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Master and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. Dr. Bhuyan has wide research interest in the field of finance, economics, entrepreneurship finance, micro-finance, and financial accounting.
Dr. Bhuyan has held full-time academic positions in finance as the Purcell Chair Professor at Le Moyne College, New York, the American University in Kuwait and California State University, USA. He has also held adjunct positions at the University of California Riverside, Northeastern University, the University of Southern California and the University of California Davis.
Dr. Bhuyan has published over eighty journal articles in national and international academic and practice journals. In addition, Dr. Bhuyan?s manuscripts have appeared in many proceedings of conferences over the years. Dr. Bhuyan has twice received the Outstanding Researcher Award from California State University and is a Fullbright Scholar. He also has extensive trading experience in stock and options trading while managing a private fund.
