Fellowship is for experienced Chartered Professional Managers whose professional practice is strengthened by scholarship, ethical leadership and a sustained contribution to their chosen field of management.
It is both a senior professional distinction and a commitment to stewardship within the intellectual, professional and institutional life of MMI.

Successful applicants may use the FMI post-nominal and refer to themselves as a Fellow of the Monarch Management Institute and a member of the MMI College of Fellows while maintaining the required professional standing.

Eligibility and application
What you need to apply.
CPM standing
Hold Chartered Professional Manager standing for at least two years and remain in good standing.
Management experience
Provide evidence of at least five years of managerial experience.
Primary Practice Domain
Maintain an approved Primary Practice Domain and demonstrate sustained professional and scholarly contribution within it.
Scholarship route
Qualify through the MMI Doctor of Professional Studies route or the professional or academic article route.
Applied professional cases
Present three business or consulting cases. At least two must materially relate to the Primary Practice Domain.
References, ethics and review
Submit three Fellowship-specific references, complete the Fellow Ethics Course, reaffirm the charter and receive committee approval.

Establish, select, demonstrate, evidence and contribute.
Establish
Maintain CPM standing and build a sustained record of responsible professional practice.
Select
Choose the MMI DPS or article-portfolio scholarship route.
Demonstrate
Present three substantial professional cases showing mature applied judgement.
Evidence
Submit your résumé, Domain evidence, scholarship and three references.
Enter
Complete ethics and committee review, then enter the College of Fellows.
The €250 application fee is non-refundable and exclusive of applicable taxes. Fellowship is awarded only after every standing, experience, scholarship, case, reference, ethics, evidence and committee-review requirement has been completed.
Two scholarship routes
Doctor of Professional Studies or article portfolio.
The MMI DPS route combines advanced professional study with the common Fellowship requirements. The article route requires at least three qualifying professional or academic articles and at least one new article produced for MMI; where three qualifying published articles already exist, the MMI article is an additional fourth article.

Professional distinction
Hold MMI’s highest title, use the FMI post-nominal and be recognised as a member of the College of Fellows.
Professional influence
Advise on management practice, emerging Practice Domains and the standards guiding MMI’s professional community.
Stewardship
Help maintain professional and ethical standards and contribute to Fellowship assessment when invited.
Mentorship
Support chartered members and prospective Fellows through senior professional insight and guidance.
Curriculum leadership
Contribute to programmes, publications, workshops, cases, research and curriculum development.
Representation
Represent MMI within industries, professions and communities of practice through engagement and ambassadorship.
Maintain Fellow standing
Complete 10 MMI-Credits during each two-year cycle, with at least 5 materially related to the Primary Practice Domain. Maintain annual fees, ethics, accurate Domain records and applicable administrative requirements.
Continue your scholarship
Produce at least one substantive MMI-approved scholarly or professional article during every rolling three-year period.
An article used for admission does not satisfy the first post-admission scholarship requirement.
Engage and serve
- Participate in at least one relevant external professional, academic, industry or public-policy event during each two-year cycle.
- Complete at least one qualifying MMI service or ambassadorship activity during each cycle.
Prepare to enter the College of Fellows.

Must I hold CPM first?Yes. CPM must be held for at least two years in good standing.

Do I retain CPM?Yes, while both CPM and Fellowship remain in good standing.
