Ms. Igwe Afoke is a Dual PhD / DBA Combined program candidate. She holds a M.Sc. in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Port Harcourt as well as a B.Sc. in Environmental Protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar. She also holds an Executive Masters in Project Management from the Global Project Management College, UK. Ms. Afoke is a sustainability professional with extensive experience in environment, social policy development. Her focus is to drive profitable business ventures in targeted sectors through the incorporation of CSR and social justice issues towards the delivery of sustainable development outcomes at company and local communities levels.
Professionally, she holds the position of Stakeholder Engagement and CSR Manager at Green Energy International Ltd. in Nigeria, where she serves as the Board Secretary for the Host Community Development Trust incorporated by the company under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA,2021). She is also a Technical Research Fellow at SD Strategies in Berlin. Previously, she held the position of Outcome Support Coordinator – Local Communities Workstream at the Facility for Oil Sector Transformation and Reforms (FOSTER), an international programme implemented by Oxford Policy Management, and funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) She has acted as an ISO Auditor and Lead Implenter.
