Degrees grounded in Swiss law and tradition.
Monarch Business School Switzerland is a private Swiss HEI – Higher Education Institution constituted under Swiss law and registered in the Canton of Zug. It operates within the Swiss legal framework permitting private HEI’s to provide higher education and issue private degrees in management and related fields.
The State Secretariat’s September 2010 and December 2017 circulars explain this framework: private institutions operate legitimately under the principle of economic freedom and, as a general rule, require no prior authorisation to offer higher education courses, organise examinations or issue private degrees.
Notarial authentication for international candidates
Upon request, Monarch can arrange Swiss notarial certification of a graduate’s diploma and transcript. This provides an additional layer of documentary assurance when presenting your academic achievements to employers, institutions or authorities abroad.
The appropriate procedure depends on the destination and the receiving organisation. It may involve certification of copies or signatures by a Swiss notary, followed where required by an apostille from the competent Swiss authority or consular legalisation. Monarch can help you clarify the requested documentation before arranging the process.
Notarial certification attests to the matter certified, such as a copy’s conformity with the original or the authenticity of a signature. An apostille or legalisation authenticates the relevant signature, capacity or seal. These procedures support the presentation of Monarch’s private Swiss academic documents.
