CAM · STEPS 01–04

Getting started

What to do—and when.

STEP 01

Become a Professional Member.

When: Before CAM registration.
Do: Join MMI and keep membership in good standing.
Next: Prepare your CAM registration and intended Practice Domain.

STEP 02 · RECOMMENDED BEFORE AMP

Register as a CAM candidate.

When: Preferably before AMP; during or after is also possible.
Do: Submit the registration, résumé and applicable fees.
Next: After acceptance and payment, the 12.5% course discount begins.

STEP 03

Complete Advanced Management Practice.

When: After early registration, or before registration if you joined later.
Do: Complete the five AMP courses and apply the learning in practice.
Next: Organise evidence around your developing professional capability.

STEP 04

Define and document your Practice Domain.

When: Begin during AMP and refine before final review.
Do: Select a Primary Practice Domain and document learning, résumé and practical development.
Next: Prepare the ethics and formal-review evidence.

Flexible timing. One final standard.

During AMPRegister while studying and receive the discount on eligible remaining courses.
After AMPRegister after completion and proceed to the remaining evidence and review requirements.

CAM registration creates candidate status and access to the applicable discount. It does not confer the designation or permission to use the CAM post-nominal. Final recognition follows completion of every learning, evidence, ethics and review requirement.

Candidate status versus CAM standing

CAM Candidate: registered and progressing through the requirements; eligible for the candidate discount after acceptance and payment. Chartered Associate Manager: formally approved after completing all requirements; entitled to use CAM and the recognised designation.

Maintain your standing

  • Keep Professional Membership and annual fees current.
  • Meet continuing-development requirements.
  • Uphold the MMI professional ethics standard.

Your next designation

CAM establishes recognised professional standing. As your education, experience and applied judgement deepen, progress towards CPM—MMI’s principal professional designation.
