Dr. Schinckus

Adjunct Professor of Finance

Dr. Christophe Schinckus holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Finance. He is presently a Professor at the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada where he is the Director of the School of Business. He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Leicester, UK. Dr. Schinckus holds a BSc in Engineering and Management; a BSc in Computer Science; a MSc in Engineering and Management; a MSc in Financial Risk Management; a MA in Philosophy of Science and a Master in Advanced Studies in Economic Epistemology. He finished his first PhD in Economics in 2009 from the University of Paris I � Pantheon Sorbonne, France and his second PhD in Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Dr. Schinckus is a Certified Expert in Digital Finance (CEDF) from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and is a Senior Fellow of the British Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). His research deals with Econophysics (Physics applied to Finance); FinTech & Cryptocurrencies; Energy and Economics; Anthropocene and Finance; Epistemology of Finance and more generally with all aspects of epistemic post-modernism.

Dr. Schinckus gained teaching and managerial experience in different universities around the world, including: The University of Quebec at Montreal, The London School of Economics and the University of Leicester, RMIT Melbourne Australia, RMIT Vietnam, and Taylor University in Malaysia. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and a book on Econophysics with Oxford University Press. In parallel to his academic activities, Dr. Schinckus also collaborates as a research consultant for private companies, such as JPMorgan and Suez Gaz de France as wells as with the African Development Bank.
