Overview Of The Swiss System

There are two systems for higher education in Switzerland: private and public. Switzerland has a long and proud tradition of private schools that is well-known and has been the envy of the world. With this in mind, it should be understood that Monarch, as with other private business schools in Switzerland, is not accredited by the OAQ-Swiss National Authority and is not recognised as a State University. Monarch is a private business school operating under Swiss law and obtains its accreditation from independent accreditation bodies. Swiss Notarial Validation

International students may request from the administration that the diploma and transcript of the program of study be stamped and registered by a Swiss notary.

Embassy Validation

International Student may request that their Embassy in Switzerland stamp the final diploma from the school in order to provide authentication.

Canadian Institute of Management - NCMA Accreditation

Monarch Business School Switzerland is proud to announce that the Bachelor of Business Administration program has been accredited by the Canadian Institute of Management. The accreditation is valid for a 5 year period until 2029. Accreditation provides all BBA students with free Associate Membership to CIM, the use of their learning resources as well as a pathway for further professional designations. All Bachelor students at Monarch obtain free Associate Membership status with CIM.

International ISO Certification

Monarch Business School South Africa Campus at 186 Drakenberg Drive, Waterkloof Park, Pretoria 0181, South Africa is proud to be the first distance-learning business school to be Internationally Triple Certified by ISO International. The school received the certification through its South African campus for ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and ISO:45001. The certifications focus on having quality management systems in place, maintaining and exceeding environmental standards and reinforcing occupational health & safety. We are uniquely proud of the ISO:14001 re-certification which focuses on environmental standards. Knowing that Monarch is an environmentally and ecologically aware organization is important to all and Monarch members may be proud of the underlying achievement and focus of the School. Being a business school it is considered critical that Monarch be held to the same high standard as internationally operating companies with respect to ISO standards. ISO is a Swiss Standards Organization that provides standards with a membership of 163 national bodies. As such it is a truly international certification.

As primarily a distance-learning organization technology is key. Monarch Business School Switzerland uses the best-in-breed technology for the provisioning of the program content. Monarch has developed an in-house bespoke Learning Management System named “Nobilis”. This system is based on the highest information technology standards for privacy and security of data. GDPR General Data Protection Regulation Compliance

All technology used at Monarch is GDPR compliant and secure. Monarch has never and will never sell your student information or make it available to third parties, except where required under law. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. The GDPR’s primary aim is to give control to individuals over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. Controllers and processors of personal data must put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to implement the data protection principles. Business processes that handle personal data must be designed and built with consideration of the principles and provide safeguards to protect data. Data controllers must design information systems with privacy in mind. ANAB-ANSI

The ANAB-ANSI National Accreditation Board is the largest multi-disciplinary accreditation body in North America. It plays an important role in ensuring the safety and quality of goods and services and in protecting the environment. It accredits management systems certification bodies, calibration and testing labs, forensic test and calibration service providers, inspection bodies, police crime units, reference material producers, and proficiency test providers. It conducts assessments to make sure its clients follow international standards and are competent to do their work.

ISO 27001

ISO/IEC 27001 is an information security standard, part of the ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards, of which the last version was published in 2013. It is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under the joint ISO and IEC subcommittee. ISO/IEC 27001 specifies a management system that is intended to bring information security under management control and gives specific requirements. Organizations that meet the requirements may be certified by an accredited certification body following successful completion of an audit.

TRUSTe

TRUSTe standards are aligned with the Standards set forth in the TrustArc Privacy & Data Governance Framework which enable organizations to design and/or engineer effective privacy and data governance controls into organizational processes, products and technologies – and maintain or enhance those controls throughout the lifecycle for the product, process or technology. The TrustArc Framework Standards are based upon recognized laws and regulatory standards, such as the OECD Privacy Guidelines, the APEC Privacy Framework, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), ISO 27001 International Standard for Information Security Management Systems. and other global privacy laws and regulations.

AICPA-SOC

AICPA-SOC for Service Organizations are internal control reports on the services provided by a service organization providing valuable information that users need to assess and address the risks associated with an outsourced service.
