Dr. Mahnic

Professor of Management

Dr. Robert Mahnic holds the position of Professor of Management. He holds a PhD and M.Phil. in Business Research from Monarch Business School Switzerland, a Master of Arts degree in Economic Geography from the University of Saskatchewan, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from the University of Regina as well as a Certificate in Management Studies from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Dr. Mahnic started his career as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Northern Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. He also served as the Director of Communications and Development for the Canadian Circumpolar Institute at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Mahnic�s academic interests are focused on energy infrastructure development, Indigenous participation in resource development, stakeholder issue management, regulatory policy, humanistic management, socio-economic impact assessment and the identification and resolution of complex social justice problems and conflicts.

During his professional career, Dr. Mahnic held management, technical leadership and senior advisory positions with TC Energy, Enbridge Pipelines, the Canada Energy Regulator, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, AMEC Earth & Environmental and Saskatchewan Municipal Affairs.
