Dr. Joseph Flores Joins Monarch As Professor of Neuroscience

It is with pleasure that the University announces that Dr. Joseph Flores has joined the faculty as Professor of Neuroscience. Dr. Flores holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia as well as a B.Sc. in Neuroscience & Psychology from McGill University. Dr. Flores has also completed his Post-Doctoral training at Lund University in Sweden. He completed his graduate research training for his Ph.D. at the Pacific Parkinson�s Research Center of the University of British Columbia. Dr. Flores is also the recipient of several research awards including: the World Molecular Imaging Congress Travel Award, the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR) Transplant Training Program Research Award and the International 3D Microscopy Course Research Award. He has published many scientific publications, been a participant of many invited presentations and is the author of many scientific abstracts.

Above his capacity as Professor of Neuroscience, Dr. Flores will assume the position of Head of Scientific and Academic Writing Standards. In this capacity Dr. Flores will work with all doctoral students in order to ensure that the scientific writing of dissertations and publications at the University is of the highest standard. We look forward to his contribution and are confident that the doctoral students will find his exacting nature and focus on scientific quality to be an encouragment for improved scholastic achievement.
