This modules addresses the intersect of innovation and change within the enterprise. The module also addresses social and organization change and how these affect leadership. The critical aspect of how knowledge and experience are converted into processes of innovation are addressed as well as how a culture of innovation may be fostered within an organization. Innovation and change are part of business strategy. Accordingly, the module also covers key strategic tools such as Porter’s Five Forces model, The Balanced Scorecard, and Blue Ocean Strategy. Students will work within a framework of thinking critically about these models and investigate the various claims made about them in academic and professional literature.

Dr. Tonsberg holds the position of Professor of Management at Monarch Business School. Professionally, he has more than 20 years of experience in management, marketing, human resources, MIS and consulting in South East Asia and the Middle East. He is currently an advisor for Training and Career Development at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. Professor Tonsberg holds a D.Phil. in Business Research with distinction from Monarch Business School where he also earned a M.Phil. in Business Research with Great Distinction. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce with honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and has completed post-graduate studies in education at St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon.
