Course Description

This module assists the professional Doctoral research candidate in fashioning a proper academic research plan that may be authorized by the Administration thus enabling the candidate to move forward in to the research phase of the program. Through the submission of various iterations of the research plan candidates will perfect their academic writing style, understand the importance of correct document formatting, as well as develop a better understanding of creating a journey of the research for the reader. The research plan module prepares the Candidate for the writing of the manuscript by honing skills in academic writing, formatting, referencing and thesis presentation.

Course/Module Professor

Dr. Jeffrey Henderson holds the position of Professor of Business Ethics. Dr. Henderson has held the position of Dean of Studies and Dean of the Faculty in the past. Earlier, Dr. Henderson was an affiliate professor at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France. Dr. Henderson has also been a lecturer for real estate finance within the Faculty of Management at McGill University. He also has held the position of Dean of Student Development at SMC University. Dr. Henderson holds a D.Phil. in Business Research from Monarch Business School, a Doctor of Political Economy from SMC University, a Doctorandus (Drs.) and MBA from Nijenrode Unversiteit in The Netherlands. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from McGill University in Montreal. He is a chartered member of the Canadian Institute of Management, a member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in the United Kingdom and a member of ACUNS-Academic Council of the United Nations System. Dr. Francois Volschenk holds the positions of Associate Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Management at Monarch Business School Switzerland. His professional experience is in product design, management, innovation, strategy, financial modelling and business consulting. Dr. Volschenk holds a Dual PhD / DBA Degree from Monarch Business School Switzerland, as well as an M.Phil in Business Research. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School (UK) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with distinction from University of Pretoria. Dr. Khalil Du Plessis holds the positions of Professor of Management & Business Strategy at Monarch Business School Switzerland. He holds a Dual PhD / Doctor of Management and Master of Management from Monarch Business School Switzerland. He also holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Dr. Du Plessis has over 20 years management expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning as a professional consultant.
