Course Description

This Module is designed to assists the candidate in brainstorming ideas for their future research at an early stage of their studies. This module precedes the Research Proposal Perfecting module. By the end of the module the Candidate is required to present an assignment which is aimed at the formulation of three main research ideas along with accompanying research questions, one of which will become the research focus further explored within the research proposal perfecting module. Working through this module is a vital stage to be completed by each candidate on the way to writing the research proposal which is considered as one of the fundamental documents submitted to the Administration to enable the commencement of the research phase of the program. Thus, the Module is designed to help generate research ideas in an attempt to choose the most appropriate for the situation and talents of the candidate in preparation to enter the Research Proposal Perfecting module where the research parameters will be further examined, described and determined.

Course/Module Professor

Dr. Jeffrey Henderson holds the position of Professor of Business Ethics. Dr. Henderson has held the position of Dean of Studies and Dean of the Faculty in the past. Earlier, Dr. Henderson was an affiliate professor at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France. Dr. Henderson has also been a lecturer for real estate finance within the Faculty of Management at McGill University. He also has held the position of Dean of Student Development at SMC University. Dr. Henderson holds a D.Phil. in Business Research from Monarch Business School, a Doctor of Political Economy from SMC University, a Doctorandus (Drs.) and MBA from Nijenrode Unversiteit in The Netherlands. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from McGill University in Montreal. He is a chartered member of the Canadian Institute of Management, a member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in the United Kingdom and a member of ACUNS-Academic Council of the United Nations System.
