It is with pleasure that the university announces that Dr. Antony Dnes returns as Visiting Professor of Economics. He also currently holds positions as Professor of Economics at Hull University Business School in the U.K., and Visiting Professor of Economics at the University of San Diego, U.S.A. Professor Dnes completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland as well as an M. Litt. in Economics at the University of Aberdeen. He also holds a LL.B. from the University of London and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Leicester in England.
Dr. Dnes’ areas of interest revolve around general and managerial economics, corporate social performance and responsibility, law and economics, as well as regulation and antitrust topics. In the past he held the position of Associate Dean & Professor at the University of Hertfordshire, UK as well as Professor of Economics Research at Nottingham Trent University, UK and Associate Professor of Economics at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Dr. Dnes has held several visiting professorships at well known institutions including: The University of Florida, George Mason University, the University of Toronto, University of Hamburg and Monash University, Australia.
Dr. Dnes is an accomplished researcher having been published in numerous peer reviewed journals including: Journal of Industrial Economics, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Economics and Business, Journal of Legal Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Kyklos. He has also complemented his journal articles with numerous invited contributions to books. Dr. Dnes has provided external examination oversight at the Ph.D. level for the University of York, Cambridge University and the University of Manchester.
